In 1997, Dr. Karam created MEMSCAP, the leading provider of innovative solutions based on MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical systems) technology.

In 2001, he led the Company €101 million ($140M) Initial Public Offering on the NYSE Euronext stock market. To date, MEMSCAP acquired 6 companies in France, Israel, Norway and USA.

He received a Ph.D. in Microelectronics as well as Engineering degrees from ESIEE-Paris and from the University of Paris VII. He is the co-founder of many high-technology companies, inventor / co-inventor of more than 50 patents, author/co-author of over 250 scientific and economic publications and winner of multiple international awards.

Since then, Nicolas has been entrusted with different positions within MEMSCAP, from sales and business development activities in ASIA to Corporate R&D director in 2006. Roy started working in SensoNor in January ’94 as development engineer focusing on developing test equipment for high volume production of MEMS based sensor products. He held various positions in SensoNor, including Director of Sales and Marketing  and Program manager for tyre pressure sensors.

As head of Sales and Marketing from 2005 to 2007 at Hydrogen Technologies, he focused on electrolyser plants for renewable energy applications.Roy started in Memscap in 2007 as Technical Director.

After various positions in the company, including head of Operations until October 2014, he was appointed General Manager of the MEMSCAP Standard Products Business Unit in Q4 2014.
